|Recommended: YesRomell Jackson — I have been here almost 5 years. The management staff is very understanding and care about their tenants. Maintence is pretty good as well with repairs and snow removal and cutting grass. I would recommend to family and friends or young adults looking for their first home. I'm a proud resident, glad I've been able to live here. my neighbors are friendly and easy going as well.

|Recommended: YesMy Experience At Garden Pool — At the request of management, I'm sharing my experience living at Garden Pool. I've been a tenant since 2021 and became the property manager in early 2024, giving me a unique perspective on life here.
Atmosphere
Garden Pool is a calm and welcoming community. It’s the first place I've truly felt at home, offering a peaceful environment despite some challenges typical of apartment living.
Parking
While I don't currently own a vehicle, parking is generally sufficient. Some spaces may be less convenient, but tenants can swap spaces if needed, making adjustments somewhat quickly.
Noise and Walls
As with many older buildings, the walls aren't entirely soundproof. Occasionally, I hear conversations or footsteps, and I've noticed indoor smoking despite our no-smoking policy. These issues are manageable, and I address noise or smoking concerns promptly.
Neighborhood
Growing up in West Allis, I've always felt connected to the area. The neighborhood is safe, and nearby stores like Target and Marshalls add convenience. Traffic noise from Highway 100 can increase on weekends but is generally quiet enough for restful nights.
Community and Cleanliness
The residents here reflect a diverse and respectful community. Shared spaces, like hallways and laundry rooms, are well-maintained by our excellent cleaning team, though small efforts from all residents—like tidying up after spills—would make a big difference.
Maintenance and Management
Although I don't oversee maintenance directly, I work closely with our team to address tenant concerns efficiently. Recent staffing changes have improved response times, and we've introduced a feedback system to better serve residents. As a property manager, I strive to handle all situations fairly and effectively, though reviewing my own performance would feel off and just plain weird
Construction
The buildings, constructed in the 1960s, remain functional but face challenges like aging plumbing and occasional roof leaks. Some suggested improvements I have for our buildings are a secure camera system for all hallways and common areas to minimize disturbances and maximize our safety. Some tenants, as well as myself, have our own security systems in our units having cameras near our mailboxes and storage lockers would help detract sticky fingers Plans for updates, such as new carpets and balcony replacements, were in place but halted due to unknown reasons. I hope these much-needed improvements can move forward soon to enhance the property for everyone.
Living at Garden Pool has been a positive experience. While challenges exist, I believe in this community's potential and am committed to fostering a comfortable and welcoming environment. With mutual respect and consideration, Garden Pool can continue to be a place we're proud to call home.
|Recommended: YesReview — I would recommend these apartments. We are on the second floor with a balcony and it's nice and noise isn't bad. The office and maintenance staff are very nice. But they could use improvements in the hallways and parking lot to make it look nicer

|Recommended: YesQuiet, Peaceful Community — Majority of the residents of our building are working, hence, there are no idle people loitering around nor congregating in common areas. Most residents just come in and go. Residents are respectful and courteous to each other. The basement area is clean and well-kept. Carpets though needs cleaning and more frequent vacuuming. Hallways are quiet and bright and airy.

|Recommended: YesOverall Review — I think that if the staff and maintenance kind has a handle on everything it would be good. it’s just sometimes when we need maintenance or communication with the management we don’t get the conversation that we need, for example. they don’t tell us when or if the project they did around the apts are going to be done. there have been nails out and in the open and the sewer or water cover has been open. On top of that parking has been kind of all over the place as we get new people, they either place them in other people’s spots or other people just kind of parks wherever. we also have been having problems with their system that they put in place, “butterfly” it’s suppose to give us access through our phones but hasn’t been working for almost a year now still has been no update.
|Recommended: YesI Enjoy Living Here — Overall I enjoy the friendliness of the staff, except for 1. He likes to brag how he’s treated around here. It’s not my business and he should keep his mouth shut.

|Recommended: YesOutstanding Apartments — Starting with the only down side - the walls, floor and doors are pretty thin. Normal-level conversations from neighbors are audible, and even the smallest amount of bass can be pretty loud in your living space.
Everything else is honestly exceptional I have received open, clear, and quick communication from both property and maintenance staff. The apartment building is clean, the parking lot is spacious enough for everyone’s vehicles, and the price is very reasonable. I would absolutely recommend not only the apartment building, but the property management company as well
